I think you guys need to get on the site updates LOL Mr March and I are working on a big update for the Mecha Manual in the near future. He's getting new, cleaner scans of all of the Macross II: Lovers Again mecha from me, along with Chronicle-based updates to several mecha, new gun pod art for pretty much everything, and enhanced detail stats for the SF-3A Lancer II space fighter and QF-3000E Ghost UCAV. Ideally, we may also expand some detail from the VF-1 pages and there's going to finally be stuff from the Macross Frontier movies and maybe Macross 30 as well in new sections. Now that I've finally separated myself from that awful Macross MUSH one of my girlfriend's friends was running, I'm working on stats for Havamal's YF-29B Percival and SMS Ouroboros's YF-30 Chronos.

So not involved with that mush anymore? Nope... the game's headwiz and I had it out over a bunch of complaints from players about how he'd abused his admin authority there to make his character into a Godmode Marty Stu and hijacked the game's story to make himself the "main character". He basically denied everything (even though pretty much everybody but him could see it, and players have called him on it before) and used one of his other admin sockpuppet accounts to kick me off the game... because apparently he's a believer in shooting the messenger. Long story short, he'd decided (after the fact) that his character wasn't powerful enough for him... so he turned a previously-human character into a UN Spacy-grown clone of a Protodeviln, though how one goes about cloning an incorporeal life form is beyond me. He used that as justification to give his now-Protodeviln character a massive stats boost, spiritia warfare abilities, a custom next-generation VF with performance far above the ace-tier VFs the veteran player characters have, "one man army" status allowing him to be exempt from the chain of command despite being one of the most junior of player character pilots rank-wise, and giving himself many Marty Stu-ish appearance traits like glowing eyes of power. Pissed a lot of players off, which, when combined with his neglecting fully half the game's playerbase to focus on stories centered on his character, had them knocking my door down to inquire if I'd take it up with him and maybe make him stop. He did NOT take it well... even accounting for my usual lack of diplomacy, he blew up like a Chinese fireworks factory full of chainsmokers.
At least now I can focus my energies on starting a new game with my long-time players and maybe poach a few of his without feeling guilty.

I would think most if the entries will be added to games and advanced with less entries in the different series sections.
Might want to maybe talk to me march about new sections or games and advanced is going to be massive by comparison.

Nah... assuming he wants to continue the established convention of having non-serial movies get their own, separate sections the way DYRL? did, the bulk of the new material will be going into the existing sections and a new Macross Frontier gekijo-ban section. Apart from the enemy mecha, there weren't that many new designs in Macross 30.

I mean the additional variations in the master file books.

I mean the additional variations in the master file books. Oh... those. It'd be a surprise to me if Mr March decided he wanted to cover the new variants that show up in Master File. By in large, the new variants that appear in those books are not assumed to be canon, especially in light of how Macross 30 and the Macross Chronicle torpedoed Master File's take on the VF-19E. Some of them, esp. the ones in the VF-25 book that were poached out of Macross Ace magazine, are just silly... like the VF-25VJ Vajra Aggressor or the VF-25WR Wyvren.

Seems you and I need to start having conversations on specific VFs in the not too distant future LOL Starting with the VF-0 and working our way up from there. Not that I mind our conversations so it's all good LOL

Not that I mind our conversations so it's all good LOL Most likely, yeah... the VF-0's at least a straightforward bunch with only five known variants, all of which are consistent in both canon and VFMF sources. My favorite is, sadly, the only one that's never actually appeared in the animation... the VF-0C. Lots of good stuff to be had there, but I've got a copy of Variable Fighter Master File: Squadrons of the SDF-1 Macross coming, and that's supposed to have some info on Destroids too.

Sweet. I actually think we got the -0 covered already. So We may end up starting with the VF-1

Hm... there's a bit less new material, technologically, in Variable Fighter Master File: Squadrons of the SDF-1 Macross than I'd have expected. There are some range-extending options for the VF-1 mentioned in addition to the ones we knew about, and alternate FAST pack configurations, but the only real new variant is the VF-1L. The VF-1DA kind of answers whether or not a tandem cockpit can be stapled to a regular VF-1 tho.

cool. now I just need to get my 100's of things typed and posted so we can continue on LOL *unfurls his motivational bullwhip* 's kinda nice to see a few offhand acknowledgements of Macross the First in Variable Fighter Master File. For variations on the Super Pack, the VF-1 is rapidly closing the gap on the VF-25. The augmentation pack list is getting big... Super Pack, Strike Pack, Double Strike Pack, Attack Pack (AKA Super Pack II), Atmospheric-use Super Pack, Recon Pack, Aegis Pack, ELINT Pack, Armored Pack, Sniper Pack, Tornado Pack, Paladin Pack... the list is growing. I have to wonder how to classify the VF-1L's massive conformal tanks.
