this has nothing to do with WHAT I sent... but WOTC Lying to the public and limiting selections to people they Knew who could finish product. i already mentioned that Eberron (Thematically) was a rip off of what i intended my setting to be like, but More in common with Gem world, and the way Eberron is setup, is more of an inversion of what I intended. do you have any hard evidence? As I said if you can not back up your claim I will dismiss it as a false claim made to impress people on the internet. |

Additional quotes of yours: lol. Eberron was modified off a submission i sent to WOTC modified to fit traditional Dnd Races. My version was more centered on relics, and exotic geographies,Similar in style of Gemworld, Eberron has Exotic relics turned into races. WOTC is a bunch of talentless hacks at some point. I'm saying they took other submissions, gave them to their approved people, and made eberron. Mind you I only Ever did a treatise. It never got beyond that. However, they did bring in some gem world elements to the setting. ----------------------------------------------------- Care to reconcile your statements against each other? Rule #1: Keep your lies consistent. Helps you remember stuff. Pretty bad if you can't manage to do that when they're right there for you to read. |

It's a RIP OFF....... Of what you INTENDED...... Your setting to be like.... But not really as it had more in common with Gem world..... And the way it's set up, is an INVERSION of what you... intended. So.... they ripped off something you intended, but not really, more like gem world and is actually the opposite of what you intended? So it's nothing like what you wanted yours to be like, and is infact like something else and if anything is the opposite of what you intended? I.E. It's nothing like what you sent in and some how ripped you off by being not like yours but something else and the opposite of what you wrote? Do you realize how...... what's a nice way to say it? how.... Amazingly silly that sounds? lol You've basically accused them of ripping off the opposite of what you wanted yours to be like but it actually was more like something else.  |

Gem World as set in an apocalyptic Fantasy setting with many Elements from Prince of Persia , was what I intended. GEM WORLD is a DC Universe world where each Zone is under control of various magical forces and the rules of mundane Reality do NOT apply.
it's Not Some Random Planet based on some 1970s Mythology.
Eberron is the inverse of that...

they only wanted outlines and very vague ones at that. They were not allowed to be too specific, that came in treatment phase. How Specific can you be in one sheet of paper? that is what the legal requirement for entries was. Odds are, Mine came a day late and was thrown away anyway.
Treatment Phase came after the 10'000s were reduced to 10
from the 10 came 1. The Eberron Winner got 100,000 dollars as well... So to hold a contest to only industry insiders while PRetending to be open to the public is Shameful. and WOTC came out and said they were not going to bar industry insiders from participating.

1) The Lohan suing for use of the name "Lindsay" (remember the "milaholic" commercial?)
2) Jeff Coons, suing that a store stop selling bookends that look like balloon dogs, because he had made a statue like that.
3) The woman who claims ownership of the sun.
4) Lucas suing Google over the term "droid"
5) The guy who sold plots on the moon (and the 3.7 million people who bought them), even though the UN treaty will prevent anyone from actually owning it.
6) The guy who trademarked the word "stealth"
7) Zynga, claiming rights over any game ending in with "-ville"
8) Utah saying how the state owns the rain
9) Apple claiming ownership of "app store", saying that it can ONLY apply to apple. Or when they sued the Beatles label "apple"
You know, completely asinine claims.

all the links on the subject have been scrubbed as the contest was over in 2002. when the Phase 2 Group were revealed, I Voiced my complaints on the WOTC board how only was that that industry insiders managed to get picked and why were they allwoed to participate?
... They Said as long as they were not an employee of DRAGON/WOTC/Hasbro it was Acceptable they were participating.
After the Winner was announced, the Editors pretty much admitted that in order to narrow it down, They did NOT review every entry but kept the ones they liked for later modifications in other articles.
