Weekly update, 13 August 2015
I was so busy I had to delay the release of this update. But it’s at the publishers now. I’ve already finalised the art for next weeks so just have to get down and write it.

We have been catching up with things since our return from Gen Con. It feels like we’ve answered and sent a zillion emails. In between, I have been working on Chaos Earth® Resurrection (the next release) and a few other titles. All the while, Beyond the Supernatural and Palladium Fantasy sourcebooks are screaming to be unleashed from my head. On top of that, there are new ideas rattling around inside my head along with my commitments to Robotech® RPG Tactics™. With any luck, all of this will turn into a pile of releases over the next few months!
I’m starting this Update with the latest Anniversary Sale: Robotech® Defend the Earth, including books and RRT products. I think next weekend will be a Rifts® sale.”
Can you hear the BTS fans squeal? FFS. Sadly this talk of creative juices often turns out to be just talk and frankly this opening seems to have dropped back into the old talk it up hollow words.

Next week, Palladium will start shipping online orders for the five exclusives (new and old) to Kickstarter backers who placed orders with us. These items shall remain available to our Kickstarter backers so you may continue to place orders.”
Order up to 2 months before, take up to 3 weeks after to ship. These sorts of thing makes me question their order processing procedures. Or if there is a requirement to compartmentalise RRT from regular operations. Or a contracted embargo on release.
“UPDATE: Earth Defenders (Micronian Forces) for Robotech® RPG Tactics™”
If not enough people pre order, this will not happen. And yet it seems books enough are printed every time (manga sized robotech book, I’m looking at you) but this one product gets the “kick starter” treatment via pre order. Is there an implication of slow demand outside of the kickstart for RRT?

Art continues to coming in from artists. Regrettably, I have not been able to do much writing this week.”
Needs more luck it seems. Too many distraction to hit the top of the Books to do list. Should rename the working title to “Your Mom” so it will always be on the top of his To Do List.
“UPDATE: Rifts® CS Heroes of Humanity and Rifts® The Disavowed
People are excited about these two titles, especially Coalition States Heroes of Humanity, but I think that’s because nobody (but me) has a clear idea of what The Disavowed will cover. And it’s a fun companion book to Coalition States Heroes of Humanity that will open up a lot of adventure possibilities. Actually, my work on them has given rise to ideas for several other Rifts® books as well.”

He did the design work and had the sample products that are shown here created by Victor Narvaez at NY Embroidery. We liked what we these two gents created and are making them available to you as Special Orders.
Here’s how Rifts® Special Order Products will work. In most cases, we have to order a limited quantity to make manufacturing and shipping cost effective (we can’t make just one at a time, but can make a dozen at a time). That means when we have a sufficient number of “Special Orders” we can have them made in a week and shipped in another week or two. And with Autumn and Winter and the holidays coming up fast, this might be a good time to order things like Reporter Bags, Embroidered Hoodies, caps and Three-Season Jackets. Last time it was POD on printing, now it is actual POD for Merch.
Good job for the guys at not being subversive in showing us how to do POD jackets and bags.
Will order in batches of 12 or more, which must be the batch size tip over into the next stage of discount. The local merch guys here are 5 and 10. Not that I care about this really, it’s just I do not need to know about it. I’d expect the business to state deliver time of 2 to 3 weeks and then will have a good or bad batch run from week to week, but leave it as their problem, not mine.
