Palladium Weekly Update Jan 9 2015 (non update update)

Ok another week and another weekly update? I'll see what i can comment on anyway though....

Don't like my criticisms, don't read it.

"The week has been so hectic and busy, there has been no time for me to finish writing the Weekly Update. "

No real update this week cuz you know....reasons. Maybe this weekend.

WE will be the judge of that.

Like why they can seem to buy it locally for several weeks now but their stuff is STILL sitting n your warehouse (Australians) or in Arizona (Europe)?

IE we will do TEN or MORE this year for EVERY GAME LINE...and then do 3-4 at least two or which will be for Rifts, and at least one Dead Rreign?

"new games,"

Uh Kevin? YOU CAN'T PROPERLY SUPPORT THE ONES YOU ALREADY HAVE.

"and all kinds of stuff."

If it's another Walton art or a Mumah art boo or sumsuch great....if it's more pencils and crap like that that I don't want, bugger off and do stuff people want ..... you know like more books for games you don't properly support.

"But it is already 7:00 PM Friday evening and it will take a few hours to finish writing that Update,"

WTF?!?!? A few hours to write half a page or so with a bunch of copy pasting? Do you seriously think we are that fucking stupid man?!?

"so here’s what we’re going to do. We’re going to make this Update our notice that the Palladium Christmas Surprise Package ENDS this weekend."

Yes because you haven't made sure to make this prominently known for the last month now.....

Or Tuesday cuz you know.....reasons.

..of stuff you have read for months now by and large with some other stuff thrown in....

"because the Weekly Update on Sunday or Monday will be filled with news"

Of what you dream of getting done but won;t in anywhere near the time frame you say you will....

"new book descriptions,"

for books we wont see for 18+ months likely unless he bumps books we have already been waiting for first....

"updates and expectations for the rest of the year."

Which are ALWAYS aim for the moon even though all you have is a spitball straw...

"All stuff you’ll want to know about. Ah, but that’s in a couple of days."

because you know....writing fluff pieces are hard.



I'll be sure to post the pertinent info for RRT over on the RRT comments page since you don't seem to bother posting an update over there anymore.

Okay, y'know that "poor time management skills" thing I keep harping on?  This is a perfect example of it.

Get real, Kev.  The kind of weekly update we get from you is the sort of thing any high school graduate could fart out in half an hour with an appropriate activities summary.  If writing this is a multi-hour endeavor for you, that means that there is something very badly wrong with the way you do business.  It's either because you're not making effective use of your time, or you have no effing clue what your few employees are doing.  I refuse to believe that, after 30 years in the industry, you're illiterate to the point that a writing activity so short it wouldn't give a grade schooler pause is an arduous task.  It probably took longer to write this pathetic excuse than it would for most folks to write the actual update.

Perhaps I am just becoming jaded and cynical, but I find this very difficult to believe.

Yes, there are many ass-backwards excuses left to be made for why you've so dramatically failed to honor your repeated promises to the Kickstarter backers.  You screwed the pooch so hard the ASPCA is giving you nasty looks over a purely metaphorical canine.

I don't even have a horse in that race, but the consultant in me is foaming at the mouth over the piss-poor job Palladium's done handling this project and its customer relations.  This is, from where I'm sitting, the kind of bad process control and management that would have been judged unsuitable for inclusion in a Dilbert cartoon because people would think it unrealistic.
