The Star Commander Power armor is a new system that’s being tested out of Northern Gun’s R&D Department. It harkens back to pre-rifts ‘classic’ Science Fiction movies, and styles. The power armor itself is much like others but instead of a helmet with wings or horns, or styled to look canine or feline, it has a large mega damage glass dome. This gives the pilot an unrestricted view of his surroundings. Information from the flight systems and combat systems are projected on the glass inside the dome. The glass is made of mega damage material and as strong as MD Steel. With the verbal command of the pilot the glass can also darken with tint, or become reflective like a mirror.
The Star Commander is being marketed as a fast sleek system with full flight capability but not as heavily armed as the Red or Blue Hawks. There is one built in quad laser on one wrist (Pilot’s choice) an a single retractable vibro blade on the other wrist. This allows the sales to be ‘light’ power armor and doesn’t instantly trigger red flags in area’s where full out militarized versions might be banned. It does come with NG’s new Universal Energy Link system in both forearms and one shoulder. So in theory the pilot could use a number of weapons. Just grab the weapon, plug in the UEL and go. The standard rifle that comes with the Star Commander is the NG-X530 Blazer, same as the one issued to the Aurora Blazer.
Uniquely to the Star Commander is that it’s being marketed for those that dream of space travel or exploration. While getting off earth via conventional means is currently impossible, there are many adventurers that go through rifts and find themselves in places like Phase World and the Three Galaxies. To stay with it’s unique design history harkening back to the old movies and space ranger motif, the armor is space worthy and actually can accelerate to MACH 1.5 in vacuum. On Earth her speed tops out at 360mph, with an altitude of 10,000ft. It –cannot- reach escape velocity on it’s own.

Mega-Damage: 1D6 for a single blast, up to 4D6 for 4 simultaneous blasts.
Rate of fire: Equal to pilot’s HTH
Maximum Effective Range: 1200ft
Payload: Effectively unlimited. Tied to power source.
2) Retractable Vibro Blade:
A retractable vibro blade housed in the wrist ‘not’ using the Quad Laser system
Primary Purpose: HTH Combat
Secondary Purpose: Tool, for cutting into or out of places, things
Mega-Damage: 2D8+4
3) NG-X530 Blazer Over and Under Assault rifle
The X530 is a large, experimental, dual assault rifle exclusive to the Aurora Blazer, the Lynx and now the Star Commander. The top barrel is a long-range, precision laser that can fire a single shot or triple pulse burst. Beneath it is a quad-barrel plasma weapon that can fire two or four simultaneous blasts at the same target. The X530 Blazer assault rifle is specifically designed with power armor and Combat Cyborgs in mind.
The X530 comes with a removable strap so that it can be slung over the shoulder when the hands
need to be free.
Primary Purpose: Anti-Monster and Anti-Armor (plasma).
Secondary Purpose: Anti-Personnel and Precision Shooting (laser).
Range: Laser: 2,000 feet (610 m). Plasma: 800 feet (244 m). Note:
The plasma weapon is designed to deliver a big punch in close quarters combat and against monsters and beings vulnerable to M.D. fire and heat.
Mega-Damage: Laser: 2D6 M.D. for a single shot or 4D6+5 M.D. for a triple laser pulse.
Plasma: 2D6+3 M.D. for a single shot, 4D6+6 M.D. for two simultaneous blasts at the same target, 6D6+10 for three plasma rounds and 1D4x10+14 M.D. for a four plasma round blast.
Rate of Fire: Each single shot laser or plasma blast, laser pulse, or multiple plasma blast counts as one melee attack. Note: The laser and plasma weapons cannot be fired at the same time. The shooter needs to pick one or the other.
Payload: Effectively unlimited when powered by the UEL. Otherwise, 10 triple pulse laser blasts or 6 quadruple per standard E-Clip; double for Long E-Clips. Each of the two combined weapons has its own, separate E-Clip. Not a factor when the UEL is used.
