www.youtube.com/watch?v=erLk59H86wwTeaser trailer is up. All in all about 30 to 40 seconds of stuff but pretty nice stuff at that. Love the Falcon turning and burning in atmo. Very nice. The Xwings tooling along at wave height was awesome too.

Hrm... never been a Star Wars fan, and it's hard to judge anything about the film from this short teaser.
The CG is impressive, but I haven't forgiven or forgotten the steaming turds called Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, and Revenge of the Sith, which collectively tried to use high-quality CG to cover the serious deficiencies in the cast's (absent) acting talents and a screenplay that reads like it was written by a medium channeling the vengeful spirit of Ed Wood.
The trailer's few scenes have already achieved memetic status on the net... especially the black stormtrooper in the desert, which almost the entire internet seems to have immediately connected to Tim Russ's role as the black ("We ain't found SHIT!") trooper in Spaceballs. There's no end to the jokes about the Sith lightsaber too. If nothing else, at least we got some clever .gif animations and jokes about it.
Considering that Star Wars movies usually have a meaningful title, my suspicion is that the plot is going to entail a sudden outbreak of force sensitivity throughout the Galaxy Far Far Away and the ensuing mess that will result from it. (Paralleling the Warhammer 40,000 backstory event called the Great Awakening, in which millions of latent psykers suddenly developed their supernatural abilities.)

wow... that's a stretch to jump to based on a title and about 60 seconds of footage.

wow... that's a stretch to jump to based on a title and about 60 seconds of footage. Oh, it's absolutely a shot in the dark... but, in my (limited) experience and from everything I can find, the Star Wars franchise has a rather blatant love affair with meaningful titles. The title always seems to have some direct and immediate relevance to the plot. - A New Hope refers to the Rebellion's first victory over the Empire.
- The Empire Strikes Back is self-explanatory.
- Return of the Jedi refers to Luke Skywalker's promotion to Jedi Knight, the first new Jedi "knighted" since the order's destruction and the return to the major role in galactic affairs Kenobi alluded to in the first movie.
- The Phantom Menace refers to the Sith's "behind the scenes" interference in galactic affairs (and particularly Palpatine's status as the puppetmaster behind the scenes).
- Attack of the Clones doesn't bear explaining.
- Revenge of the Sith refers to the Sith Order's destruction of the Jedi in revenge for some non-specific slight alluded to by Darth Maul back in Phantom Menace.
The love of significant naming extends to the novelizations and comic books as well... so with that trend in mind, the logical conclusion for the title's relevance to the story is that it fits one of two possibilities: - The Force Awakens refers to a literal awakening of the Force itself, possibly through an avatar-like physical manifestation of the Force (unlikely, but if so let's hope it's less whiny than Mannequin Skywalker).
- The Force Awakens refers to an outbreak of latent force-sensitives suddenly gaining awareness ("awakening to") their powers and the consequences of using those abilities.

I'm partial to name significance 2.
I've seen a vid that explains why ep 1 - 3 had to be steaming piles. because they were backs story, for the TL:DR. for me it was George writing a pantomime. too often I felt the urge to yell "look out behind you. I could go on, but the internet is full of the samely issues with eps 1 to 3.
I look forward to a action oriented movie, like the original 3. where the backdrop stays the backdrop.
