Another week, another update so..... Another commentary www.palladiumbooks.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=737:palladium-booksr-weekly-update-august-12-2014&catid=52:weekly-updates&Itemid=183"Please drop by the Palladium Booth #1223 to see if we have copies of Robotech® RPG Tactics™ for sale and enjoy a demo or to place a pre-order, but we’ve gotten no word from US Customs in Los Angeles. That said, the Fat Lady hasn’t sung yet." Dude she has had like three encores already...... "We are taking Robotech® RPG Tactics™ pre-order for Wave One retail items" This is a good idea.....as long as they only get shipped AFTER the backers items are. Not saying this won't happen but....with this campaign one never knows since what has been stated to be done has been changed....more than once. "UPDATE: Rifts® Megaverse® in Flames™ – Available now and at Gen Con" Good "UPDATE: Future Visions™ – The Artistry of Charles Walton II – Available now & at Gen Con" Also good "UPDATE: The Rifter® #67 – Ships Mid-August" Good, though it IS late again and most who order it will likely not get it until the first week in September "NEW! Palladium Fantasy RPG® “Paper Miniatures” – available now on DriveThruRPG.com" Do more of this for Heroes and Rifts! "UPDATE Gen Con Indy is Thursday – we hope to see some of you at the Palladium Books® booth, #1223" I hope it is a success I really do. See you next week folks

That said, the Fat Lady hasn’t sung yet." Dude she has had like three encores already...... Only three...? Dude, if this is a three-strikes game, Robotech RPG Tactics has struck out so hard and so frequently that it's gone into extra innings as a complete no-hitter. As one would expect from a game with the Robotech name warning label, it's a poorly executed clusterfuck of bad decisionmaking, worse "talent", and dodgy execution. Between the delays, the horrible public relations situation, and the fact that it happens to be a game based on one of the most reviled franchises in anime and also one that's managed to earn the enmity of the tabletop gaming crowd without actually belonging to that industry before now, this game's chances of success are so low as to ensure that failure is not just the most likely outcome... it's the ONLY outcome. I hope the backers will at least enjoy the expensive paperweights they've purchased, at least. EDIT: The situation with Robotech must be even worse than I thought, Harmony Gold's legal counsel has advised Kevin McKeever not to go talking about the franchise's future. Maybe Frank Agrama has finally decided to take Old Yeller out behind the shed and finish it off. Not saying this won't happen but....with this campaign one never knows since what has been stated to be done has been changed....more than once. Today on "Stupid Small Businessman Tricks", Kevin Siembieda learns the hard way that almost everyone who'd actually have an interest in Robotech RPG Tactics pledged on the Kickstarter...
