When you run a zombie game, are your players mostly traveling from place to place or are they the "operating out of some sort of base" types?
Personally, I find both scenarios interesting in the zombie genre, but I am wondering if others favor one over the other.
Do you guys find one or the other easier to play? More "realistic"?

Any game I have been in has been a combination of running then settling for a bit then running again with the end goal to find a safe haven.

I've done both. It largely depends on when you're setting your game. though each has it's aspects. If you're playing out the rise itself it's alot more running. If the rise happened some time ago you can go with settled, but that usually ends up running at some point too.

Yeah, I too have done both, as well as the standard version of having a home base but ranging out from it in search of supplies, survivors, etc. Done this in DR and in home brew zombie apok ones...
I have heard of people who do the constantly on the move version, as well as the "defend the fort" scenarios.
Was curious what people have been doing.
