Not surprised at all. Reading the KS comments and all I can say is... Holy shit!
PB is gonna have to climb mountains in order to regain some semblance of good will from the fans.

Even with the flak there getting Kevin is too proud to admit he screwed up. Selling at GC makes business sense. Although it was Kevin himself who promised backers RRT first. With the latest update Kevin breaks his promise by letting some backers stand in the back of the line, so to speak.

Oh my goodness... the Robotech franchise is screwing its fans over? How very unprecedented. </sarcasm>
The only surprise here is that they'll actually have product in the country in time for GenCon.

That's yet to be seen. Kevin seems to think it can be loaded, go through customs on China side. Hydroplane across the ocean, get to CA. go through US customs, and cross the entire country to MI, in 3 weeks. During typhoon season in the pacific.
They've yet to hit a release date in.. what literal decades? Expecting this thing to land on time is some what amusing.

Part of me wants to put together a "Palladium schedule screwup" drinking game... y'know "when Kevin tells a transparent lie, take a shot" and all that. Problem is, if I did, I'd be an accessory to mass suicide as hundreds of Palladium fans drink themselves to death playing it.

Some posters think that if they vote no they'll be punished by keeping their orders for last. I hope that doesn't happen. I voted no anyway. He should have asked first.

HOLY BACK PEDAL BATMAN....now the question is if he will actually go through with it if KS Comments actually say not too as opposed to saying they got way more yes votes via phone or email......

Read closer gentlemen. He's not back peddling at all.
____________ ANY PEOPLE THAT DON'T VOTE WILL BE CONSIDERED ___YES___ VOTES________________
All he needs is less than 2500 "No's."
I'll bet real cashy money he doesn't get 2500, votes one way or the other. Much less more than 2500 EITHER way. He's set it up in way that gives the illusion of choice. They know they're not geting 1000s and 1000s and 1000s of votes. lol How would they count them? You really think someone at palladium is sittig there writing down each vote by name to make sure noone doubles up?
Those people are getting PLAYED. Unless there are literal THOUSANDS of votes in a week, he's doing what he was doing anyway.
It's the illusion of choice. The vote is stacked against you.
At the start of the vote it was 5000 "nos" every "yes" just takes one away from that.

The Robotech fans ARE still getting screwed after all... the natural order hasn't been overturned, all's right with the world. We now return to your regularly scheduled laments of the damned already in progress.

It's even worse than just that. To vote 'no' you have to use your kickstarter ID.
They know they're not getting thousands and thousands of them. So they honestly CAN afford to jot down the few 100 names that vote now, and put them on a list.
Which list?
"Hell will freeze over before we send these boxes out" (For real. Hell MI freezes over every year. It's a news story.)
Meaning they can, if they so choose, penalize you by name, for going against them.
Not only is the vote stacked 5000/0 at the very start, there's the implied threat of retaliation if you do vote against it. With over 5000 boxes to ship, you can easily claim you 'lost' that one name, or dozens of names, etc. Or make sure those were the people that got the stack of boxes that fell over or fell off the truck or had breaks etc.
Does he have to say such? Nope. Just "here. Sign your name, specificly, to a list of people going against my wishes... it's going to take weeks to a month( MONTHS) to mail these out..... Of course we'd never put you on the "Ship absolutely last, all the shitty product" list.. Nooooooo
Now.. what was your name?

Trust me, I realize that the jerk lies through his teeth on a week by week basis. This has been the norm for as long as I can remember.
What I find appalling is this "vote" that's being conducted. It's a bullshit way to get the result you want. Stacking your vote 5000 - 0 right off the start is garbage. How many people saw that was the way of it, and instead of actually casting a "no" vote, they got disheartened with the god damned fucking roadblock in front of them and said "Fuck it. Not like my vote will matter anyway."
Seriously, you're not going to get 5000+ people to vote over a KS boondoggle, regardless of forewarning. Even if 3000 people vote, and 2000 vote "no" it still won't matter, even though those 2000 are a pretty sizeable chunk of the backers.
This is a sham on the highest level. I realize that in politics, there are votes that are based on an absolute majority...
But. This. Isn't. Fucking. Politics.

Well, you lads'll know better than to support Robotech in the future, right?
Kickstarter's done so much to bring a much-needed dose of harsh reality to Robotech fans.

Uhhh.... I didn't even back the project. I just know bullshit (PB's current "vote") when I see it.
