ONE book has been released. Normal people do not count the Rifter or re-releases of already sold material with a new cover..... Good people are taking advantage of it. They should. It's a 50% off sale. Good Do try to not let this be late.....again. Good. If it is half as good as 1 then I'll be happy when I buy one. If you mean you are writing at such a speed that books go months upon months past your estimated delivery dates that you set, then you are at your normal speed...... And STILL no admittance that there is no way in hell they can make the July delivery they promised..... Are serious? Please tell me he is fucking with us......birds, again? Get back to fucking work birdman. I wholeheartedly agree with the sentiment and very glad he didn't twist it into "but we will be here WORKING ALL WEEKEND for YOU our FANS because We LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!!" I just don't know. When did he become so...oh fuck it. The man seems like he is nuts.

I'd have thought you'd have more about his near death experience with the undead avian that invaded his mode of conveyance. lol

I think my disdain is well spelled out in the statement I made....

Not that you'd know that firsthand, Kevin... even your business partners seem pretty desperate to keep you at arm's length these days.
Enough of your bird-fetish, you deviant malingerer!
In a couple of months? The rate they're going, they'll be lucky to pinch that turd out by year's end. I know a stillborn project is hard on the staff, but come on... the game has NO future prospects to speak of. What's the holdup?
Wait, what? Kevin, are you honestly trying to get people excited because the manufacturer sent you a box of blank cardboard?
So there's a great deal of talk between Palladium, Ninja Division, and the Chinese factory, eh? I suppose you have a lot of catching up to do, after discovering that you were being deliberately kept out of the loop.
Well, birds do little besides shit on everything and make a lot of noise to no useful end... can we assume they feel a certain kinship with you in that regard?

In regards to the Rifter 66 cover, did anyone else look at it and say, "Hey, there's King Kong, Star Fox and Harry Potter."
I hate to say that, as Amy Ashbaugh is one of Palladiums better artists, but I know I noticed those three characters right away.

I actually did think it looked like Starfox, but I think they might be going for a Corgi, and I didn't think it was king kong (Way too small) Gorilla Grod maby. lol

I think I'm less offended by the blatant plagiarism than I am by the incredibly lame visual pun... King Kong there is menacing something with an outsize monkey wrench. Maybe that's meant to be an ass-backwards homage to the original Donkey Kong arcade game. Palladium's art usually falls into one of three categories... shit-tastic, plagiarized, or cliche. I got one way to describe this cover: "Hat trick".

Part of the reason I didn't collect rifts back in the 90's was because of the art. Non of it really stuck out to me. It just looked like a poor mans RPG due to the low quality of the books. If not for RT I would never have picked up a PB RPG.

I've always really liked most of the art in Palladium's books, there have been some duds but on the whole I'm a fan. I like the Rifter cover, I'm a giant fan of Amy's work.

If not for RT I would never have picked up a PB RPG. One of the things that's always left me a little hesitant to buy the Palladium Robotech books is the way that none of the books credit any of the original Japanese artists whose work Palladium is using. They're not even mentioned. Palladium's artists just trace various pieces out of the Japanese art books for the original Macross, Southern Cross, and MOSPEADA, and then sign someone else's art as though they were the ones who'd actually drawn it. That's an appalling lack of integrity on the part of the artists. At least in the old Macross II RPG they made a decent effort at leavening the tracing with original work. That lack of integrity and respect is what we've come to expect from Robotech, which is little more than a glorified bootleg granted a tissue paper-thin veneer of legitimacy... but it's a little irritating to see that Palladium treats the work of others with the exact same light-fingered contempt as Robotech's so-called "creators".
