Actual No Fooling Real Name: Brent
Age: Way more than I'd like, but I am young at heart. Let's just say....Born in 1970 and leave it to you to do the math.
Years gaming: More than I have when I was not. Coming up on...30....
Favorite Game System: Toss up between WEG SWD6 and Pally.
Current Games Being Played: Well, we have a whole bunch of custom worlds using Pally as a framework system. Technically, my Rifts, SWD6 and our group's games like Cybergen and AD&D are on hiatus until one of our members moves back in a year.
Other games Played/Owned: Pretty much all of the Pally line (including Justice Machine, Pharohs, original Recon, etc). Other than that, AD&D 2nd ed (which I like), GURPS, Shadowrun, Mekton, Cyberpunk, Cybergen, Traveller, Champions, Rolemaster, MERPS, Marvel FASERIP, tons of different WoD, Twilight 2000, Mayfair DC, and more.
Bio: My first taste of gaming was not gaming. I used to be HUGE into comics. My fellow comic book fiends and I used to sort of play a game I had no idea was prepping me for gaming. We would get together regularly and discuss the latest issues, and sort of challenge each other with "You know what I would have done?" and the like.
In my mid teens the brother of my very first girlfriend introduced me to role playing games with a game you have to mail away for called "Serpents and Sorcery". It was a pretty blatant rip off of D&D but used a completely different system of percentiles for skills and such. From there, he and I both had a love of RT, so when Pally's RT books came out we of course bought them (The first Pally RT book was the VERY FIRST gaming book I ever bought with my money). Soon after we started to play.
I took a few years off gaming, did some writing for a bunch of people and places from my teens to early 20's, and no more than dabbled in gaming books etc. Around 1989 I was invited by old school friend to join his group. Was my first exposure to AD&D, SWD6, Rolemaster, MERP, and even HU during those times.
Pretty much been gaming constantly, with one group or another since then.
I, like Adam and a few others, am a veteran of the late, great Cafe Risque....bow your heads for a moment of silence...I miss that site.
Oh, in the 90's I pitched and wrote Hardware Unlimited for Pally, but they never put it out because of a screw up...
That's about it I guess.
