Seriously? Their idea of big news is that they're charging for the Palladium Fantasy 30th Anniversary hardcover...
Whoop-dee-fuckin-doo!!!
I really hope it's just a small side thing and that the real announcement comes out later....

That's not big news and I am not counting hardcover releases as new releases either. It's not that hard to reprint something already done.

It might be that they are saying that NG2 is going to the printer on Tuesday and shipping in May.
Which, if memory serves, is what I called about 8 or 9 months ago! But I may be mistaken....

Greetings and Salutations. Just for the record, it wasn't mentioned as "big" news, only "good" news.
To be honest, I felt a little disappointed myself. However, going back to read what Kevin actually said, I feel we (the fans in general) have blown it up bigger than anything he actually said. "Good" news includes:
1: PF Hardcovers came in and will be shipping shortly (it was slated for April with an undisclosed date, so definitely nothing "big," but might still be considered "good"). 2: NG2 is in final layout (take that for what you will). 3: RTT First Wave start manufactoring soon (he says that with relief, though again, take that for what you will). 4: POH details. That's something a lot of us have claimed to be excited about (I know I am), so saying it's official and we can start booking hotel rooms could fall under "good" news as well. 5: Staff birthdays. Not the typical category, but could fall under that category.
I'm not going to defend everything Palladium's ever done or said, I just want to put things into perspective. We, the fans, have been the ones building what he said up into something big and important, and that's not what he said (considering this is from the Murmur, and I'm not missing a different post somewhere).
While I understand people being skeptical of #2 and #3, and #5 might be a bit of a stretch, I do think #1 and #4 could fall under legitimate "good" news (even if not "big"). Also, considering he's talked about a disappointing weekend in the same Murmur, I'd like to believe he was trying to see that silver lining. Instead of letting the negative get him down, he tried to focus on the positive, a.k.a. the "good."
Just my thoughts. Take them or leave them as you will. Thank you for your time and patience, please have a nice day. Farewell and safe journeys to all.
