While battle reports have been requested I am going to more or less give a synopsis. The first battle just proved what anybody was had any access to the rules knows Battle pods charging across an open field at people with long-range weapons die. But it is a fabulous way to teach somebody the system they're dealing with one type of enemy their learning their weapons they're blowing stuff up and having fun.

Peter T. Pidrak Battle number two we tried to use the special rule that many people found out about it GenComp where you can drop in forces. This might work in a larger battle but in a smaller battle where the half of your forces winds up being one squad you just feed everybody in piecemeal.

Peter T. Pidrak Unfortunately due to time constraints in the third game I was not able to start using the special rules for the sensor suites which is what I wanted to work and bought discovered that you really want to look at all of the upgrades for your mecha.

Peter T. Pidrak A lot of different Mecha especially Zentradi mecha have an inherent weakness that when they are able to buy the upgrade they compensate for. And a special note to Palladium. You really want a special ability for defenders or some other Mac so that they can shoot at incoming missiles four units that they are within 2 inches off. There are too many units out there with no missile defense, and if you have no missile defense you die.

Michael Arnold One important thing to remember that I caught in the official rules is that units in close formation can protect each other without paying command points. So if you have a Tomahawk that shoots at some pods and does 8 damage with it's Particle Cannons you can split it to 4 to each unit by sharing some damage with each unit without paying command points. This makes Attrition Squads a bit more viable.

Peter T. Pidrak Oh and Wile Bretaii sounds really really cool somebody who's primary bonus is hand-to-hand attacks stuck with the movement of three has a definitive problem.

Michael Arnold Yeah, the only advantage he has is Leadership and scaring everyone else from getting too close.

Peter T. Pidrak What we really need is a rule so that you could shoot at the incoming missiles that are targeted at your buddy. Too many of the RDF units don't have missile defense. It stinks on ice one is in Troadi don't have him but when I purchased long-range missiles for my trip fighters I was able to pop up and rip the heck out of the people that normally devastate my squads as they move up. Then I move in the female power armor ending it all.

Peter T. Pidrak The other big problem debris tie has is all he's allowed to take is the heavy or light armor. From the way it seems to work that means he can only be associated with one of the infantry squads. I'm already introducing something that has transport capacity so I could drop them off right on top of people that would be nice.

Michael Arnold You can shoot missile aimed at you for the cost of a command point, and you need a 6 to shoot them down. No rules for shooting missile aimed at other mecha though.
