Following is a list of House Rules I use when GMing Pathfinder games. More may be added later (I am constantly tinkering with the rules to make the system mesh better with my style)
#1: Combat maneuvers only invoke an Attacks of Opportunity on a failure. The Improved CM feats still provide their bonuses and the never invokes an AoO aspects.- Normally AoO are invoked any time you attempt a CM (Unless you have the Improved feat version of the CM).
I find that this rule helps encourage players to try more than "I hit him with my sharp pointy metal stick... again..."
#2: All casters are spontaneous casters.
This one requires a couple of cascading rules to function properly but does help mitigate the annoyances of vancian casting.
#2a: Zero Level Spells: Since Zero level spells are never "forgotten" after casting they are now treated as a variable class power and must be preselected/prepared every day (24 hour period).
#2b: Clerics: Must still meditate for 1 hour every day and preselect/prepare a small number of spells that number however has been expanded. The number of spells a Cleric may "prepare" is equal to 5 + His/Her WIS Modifier per level of spell. They may however only cast a number of spells as limited by their spells per day but they may cast from the prepared list for any one spell level in any combination they desire.
#3: Feat Chains as scaling Feats: Any Feat that has multiple versions of itself (X, Improved X, Greater X, etc) are rolled into one feat and the bonuses are applied when the appropriate prerequisites are met. In the case of Chain feats with no prerequisites (EX: Spell Focus/Greater Spell Focus) an arbitrary class/caster level 4 prerequisite will be assessed. Some (But not all) Chains that do not have similar names but are interconnected may also qualify for this scaling effect.
Check with the GM on a chain if you are unsure it would count as just one Feat.
