....at least for palladium. With the discussion of using a different system on facebook I got to thinking...yeah I know usually not a safe thing to do Anyway I was rereading the old game Top Secret/SI and I think the system, if one was willing to do the work, could be used in place of the present attribute/skill/combat system. The basics are as follows: You roll up your attributes and determine any derivative attributes. Rolling them up is as follows d60 (1d6 and 1d10) + 10 where the d6 is the 10's digit and the d10 is the ones digit giving a range of 11-79. skills are point bought up to certain levels (0-5, 0 is no bonus and every level to 5 is a +5) combat rolls and skill rolls are the same. You add the skill levels to your base attribute or it's derived number and then roll a d100 versus the final total. equal to or lower is a success. Over is a fail. The various combat rules could also work and the system seems to be pretty cinematic. I had forgotten how decent the system was honestly and the present magic and psionic system would be pretty easy to port in if desired. The part about taking damage and whatnot would need some tweaking though as this game was designed as more like N&SS than Rifts but I do think the core could work and work pretty well.
