in thinking about how KS is said to play with out regard for the system he wrote, it got me thinking about how, as a GM, you can abide by a setting ignore the system. Or, instinctively frame your world physics with out knowing you are abiding by the rules.
so,
Skills: whats your skill roll? 30 + (5 x level) = just write down the skill and say you want to use it, the rest is just a dice roll and seat of the pants.
weapon combat: at above level 3 is basicly, Strike = level/3 + 2. Parry = Level/3 + 3, dodge = +3. (if you need to you can go (Level + 1)/3 +2 = strike)
attacks: 2 + (level / 3) plus boxing.
unless the GM wants to know exact numbers.
but what it means is the GM only needs to stop the naration until the player dice stops, and then they continue with possibility 1 or 2 in the ongoing narration.
I had made up tables in excel for quick reference of monster and enemy stats and spotted I do not need to really know anything but the level of the players and how hard I want to make a given enemy. Just add <weapon damage> +2.

When looking for something more simple yet still palladium I look to the old original Mechanoids game.

I only have the version in mechanoid invasion trilogy but they were certainly light compared to the mass that is the current palladium system LOL

not looking to for a simple PB, I work with it just fine, just looking at how a GM can lighten their rules load with simply on the go framing for opposed roll resolution.
also highlighting the how leveling in PB looks.
