Hi. My names Adam and I am from The Old Kingdom.
I little memory of my home land, as does most anyone I talk to.
I started as a Wizard and traveled extensively with my good friends and Paladins, Pat McCrack and Rygar. (Ogre and Endroth Rogue)
We later took up some Military Specialist positions in an alternate dimensions army.
--------------------
I actually started playing Robotech before picking up alot of 1st ed Fantasy. It's interesting looking back that I played when PB transitioned to 2nd ed.
so I have a fair few books, up to about 2003. where I stopped paying PB and told them to put out Fantasy content if they wanted my money. I stated thsi because Rifts was (and still is) the big money best of PB but I was finished with the random turns that game line kept taking.
I frequented the forums and hung out in PF, Robotech and sound off. the circular nature of the discussions and how new people ha the same questions got too much so after pissing a few people off I just left. clearly it was no longer constructive. I then hung out at Cafe Risque to help give others a place to vent and try to keep constructive with their hobby in the face of favouritism from PB Mods and frustration at KS's business decisions. Fight Club was a fun place watch. It's gone now.
I wondered aimless and enjoyed PC games. KoTOR, WoW, with lesser stuff here and there like Bad Company 2, BF3, Need for speed world, SW:TOR, Mass Effect.
I now find I am returning to Paper and dice gaming. I like D20 3.x because it was so much I wanted from PB. and Spycraft really popped a big light on for how Forums could be run and how developers could interact with players and how d20 could be recompartmentalised. a real lesson of physics emulation.
So, I kind of have a PF game with my sons (15 and 17) where the older has a Warlock Monk concept. (really just a fire Lock with HtH:MA and a focus on close combat powers) and that has set fire to my chair again. with help from FB and maybe this forum (early days yet)
I can pull motorcycles apart and return them to working order and consult with a friend on custom PC builds for clients he finds.
I like Classic Rock, Classic Metal and Guitar. I also have a great sense of humour and love a double entendre.
