Like the title says I am having trouble reverse engineering an acronym. I got what I want it to be. H.E.R.O. I am getting stymied by one damn letter. What I have so far...
H Emergency Response Operative(s)
any suggestions for what the H stands for?

High Emergency Response Operative(s)
hmmm... could work...
this is an element for one of my HU worlds. The HERO program was established to "license" vigilantes. Think of it as conglomeration of all EMS, Government agencies, and a bounty hunters license. Ostensibly its a joint Government/Private business venture. in the wake of the advent of "super crime" measures were needed to combat it (LEOs being woefully ill equipped) and so the HERO program was initiated.
Does High Emergency Response Operative(s) sound appropriate?

It does yo me as lower level emergencies would not need their intervention.

Highspeed Emergency Response Operatives Heroic Emergency Response Operatives Hard-ass Emergency Response Operatives Hardy Emergency Response Operatives Hellish Emergency Response Operatives Hipster Emergency Response Operatives Home-town Emergency Response Operatives Holy Emergency Response Operatives Hyper Emergency Response Operatives Kinda like that one I like a couple of those as well... the Hyper is intriguing... (sub-group of "junior" heroes maybe?) High-speed (could be a sub-group of all speedster based operatives) Heroic is almost redundant (it was the first one I thought of as well)... Right now High Emergency is the one I am leaning towards. (that one never crossed my mind at all). HERO being the short hand the public calls them. but by all means keep thinking them up. Maybe we can hit on another really good one.

Hazardous makes it sound like they're a villain team. Like it's dangerous if they show up to your emergency. lol

Just like Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) Response Team does?

Well Hazmat does deal with dangerous stuff. if I see a hazmat team going one way, I generally de-ass the area in the opposite direction.

Looking at using either High Emergency Response Operative Or Hazardous Emergency Response Operative.
Both sound appropriate.

What is a "High" emergency?
How does it contrast with a "Low" or "Medium" emergency? Do Low and Medium Emergency Response Operatives exist in the world? Do you have HEROs MEROs and LEROs?
