If PB was hoping RRT would be a big seller, they aren't treating it that way. In fact, if you view their weekly, NG2 is what they are thinking is the breadwinner. The support for RRT has been so minimal, it makes PB look like a HUGE company where a $1.5M KS is "no big deal". They don't act like a failing company, even if pretty much everybody thinks so. Apparently they are still selling stuff. I'm not liking their new products so much, in fact, I don't care for most of their stuff, and think the palladium rules system is the worst ruleset, with the most inconsistencies, of any other ruleset I've ever used.
I've always wish that PB would lose the RT license anyway, as other companies (like DP9, well, DP9 of 10 years ago, not today's DP9) would have done sooooo much more with it.
Actually, I don't know if it is exclusive, maybe anybody can get a deal with HG to do a new game system.

Denial isn't just a river in Egypt, you know... I've always wish that PB would lose the RT license anyway, as other companies (like DP9, well, DP9 of 10 years ago, not today's DP9) would have done sooooo much more with it. Eh... it wouldn't change anything, honestly. The limiting factor isn't Palladium Books, it's Harmony Gold USA and the Japanese owners of Robotech's IP. There are very strict limits imposed on what material Harmony Gold and its licensees can use, and what they can use the intellectual property for. Harmony Gold is imposing their own restrictions because they want the game to semi-accurately reflect what's actually in the series, instead of wandering off into left field and ending up at a right angle to reality the way the original RPG did, so the writers at Palladium have Harmony Gold telling them what they can and cannot write and reminding them what they can and cannot use from the Japanese source material. Give the license to any other RPG company and they'd have the same restrictions foisted on them, ending in the same strangled output.

I haven't heard anything new from Soda Pop, and don't think I will. I guess I could be like "did you see my previous email", but it isn't like any of them were very useful anyway.
